Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)

Home | Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)

Urologist Joel Ubeda, MD offers testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) to men who experience consistently low testosterone production and symptoms associated with androgen deficiency. Low testosterone is a condition that affects many men as they age. Testosterone is a hormone critical for maintaining muscle mass, bone density, energy levels, and overall well-being.

Symptoms of Low Testosterone

  • Decreased Sex Drive
  • Erectile Dysfunction
  • Fatigue and Low Energy
  • Increased Body Fat
  • Loss of Muscle Mass
  • Mood Changes - Depression or Irritability

TRT helps to restore the body's natural testosterone and may include injections, gels, patches, or pellets.  TRT can help restore hormone levels to a normal range and help patients maintain vitality and confidence.  The Androgen Deficiency in Aging Males (ADAM) questionnaire is a simple tool designed to identify symptoms of testosterone deficiency.  The questionnaire is ten questions about a patient's energy, libido, mood, strength, and sexual performance. It is designed for men over age 45. A yes answer to any of questions one through seven, or three questions, may indicate the need for TRT.  Call White River Health Surgery Clinic at (870) 698-1846 for more information or to discuss next steps.
