Life Lights is an annual holiday campaign recognizes special family, friends, and others.  Each year the Foundation Board of Trustees choose a project or fund to benefit from the generosity of our donors.  Honorees or family members of those memorialized receive a custom designed holiday ornament to display and remember the generosity of their loved ones.  Gifts to the 2023 Life Lights Campaign benefit the White River Health Oncology and Infusion Center expansion.

Choose Hope

White River Health Oncology and Infusion Center Expansion Campaign

White River Health's Oncology and Infusion Center expansion is an opportunity to choose hope.  This project will create a comfortable, encouraging, and healing environment for patients and their families as they plan a future of better health.

Every patient diagnosed with cancer has a unique story, and the team at WRH Oncology understands that every patient is also someone's family, co-worker, neighbor, and friend.  They understand that compassion is the first step to surviving this horrible disease. At WRH Oncology, we have Team HOPE; now we need a place of HOPE to treat our family and friends because everyone deserves a world-class cancer treatment center close to home.

The Needs

  • Expanded Infusion Center - The current space is not adequate to support our patients and their families/caregivers and cannot support an increase in patients.
  • Nurse Work Area - The current workspace was designed for three nurses.  Our Oncology team has grown to five nurses.  Creating an efficient workspace will allow our nurses to concentrate their energies into providing excellent care.
  • Private Infusion Room - Severely immunocompromised patients may require a private infusion room to safely continue their treatment.  Our current Infusion Center does not offer this and patients who require this level of isolation must be admitted to the hospital which is more expensive and creates a hardship for patient and their families.
  • Waiting Area - The current Infusion Center does not have a proper waiting area and check-in. The lack of space could be harmful to patients with a fragile immune system and makes the check-in process and check-out process more difficult.
  • The Meditation Garden for patients and caregivers provides emotional support for patients and their caregivers during their treatment journey.  A an infusion treatment may last several hours and the Medication Garden can provide a peaceful view or a comfortable setting for a break during treatment.
  • Adding a canopy to the entrance to the building. It is important for patients to continue their treatments, regardless of the weather.  This canopy will ensure patients can focus on battling cancer, not the elements.

We ask that you join this important mission to create world-class center of healing and hope for the people who may one day hear the words, You have Cancer. You support can provide the next sentence, We have a top-rated Oncology team and incredible treatment facility here where you will receive the best possible care.
