Internal Medicine Residency

Welcome to the White River Health (WRH) Internal Medicine (IM) Residency Program. We are an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited program taking ten (10) residents per year. The WRH IM Residency Program is located at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas just 90 miles north of Little Rock, Arkansas and 120 miles west of Memphis, Tennessee.

Our program offers traditional three-year Categorical Internal Medicine Residency Training. WRH offers a community-based residency program partnered with the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.  Residents have the unique opportunity to train in a community and hospital that are vibrant and relational with the advantages of training with a recognized academic medical center.

Purpose

Cardiologist

White River Health Cardiology is seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our team.  Practice in a patient focused environment with the opportunity to join the faculty of White River Health's Internal Medicine Residency program.  We offer competitive compensation and opportunities for professional growth in a community healthcare organization serving residents in north central Arkansas. 

Emergency Medicine

The WRMC Emergency Department is a Level III trauma facility with 30,000 visits annually. We are part of the AR SAVES Stroke Care Network. The Emergency Department includes 22 treatment rooms including rooms designed especially for trauma, psychiatry, OB/GYN, and isolation. 

Endocrinology

Join a large multi-specialty clinic serving patients from throughout the ten-county region. A Hospital Medicine program provides support for inpatient care. The position includes an opportunity to join the WRMC Internal Medicine Residency faculty.  The ACGME accredited program accepts ten Residents each year.

Gastroenterology

Join a well-established, multi-specialty group or establish a solo practice. Most outpatient procedures can be performed in the hospital's Ambulatory Surgery Center on the campus.

Interventional Cardiology

White River Health Cardiology is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join our team.  The hospital’s diagnostic cardiology department features four Cardiac Catheterization/Special Procedures suites and dedicated Cardiac Observation Unit.  The position includes an opportunity to join White River Health’s Internal Medicine Residency Faculty. White River Health is a regional healthcare organization serving patients throughout north central Arkansas.  

Neurology

We are recruiting a second Neurologist to meet the needs of our ten-county region. WRMC is a member of the AR SAVES Stroke Care Network. Outpatient diagnostic services include EEG, nerve conduction studies, and sleep studies.

Nephrology

Join a large multi-specialty clinic serving patients from throughout the ten-county region. White River Medical Center has a full-time Hospital Medicine program to provide hospital support. The WRMC Internal Medicine Residency Program is an ACGME accredited program accepting ten Residents each year.

Outpatient Primary Care

Stone County Medical Center, a critical access facility in heart of the Ozarks has an opportunity for a Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics physician.  The medical community includes Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, and Orthopaedic Surgery providers. 

Pediatric Hospitalist

White River Medical Center, a 225 community hospital and regional referral center, seeks a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist to provide exceptional inpatient care to our pediatric patients and attend deliveries in a supportive, family-focused environment. Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and hospital policy require a current TB skin test and annual flu vaccination for all active volunteers.
