(Batesville, Ark.) — White River Health (WRH) is pleased to announce the addition of Audra Staley (Favano), MD, MPH as a Hospitalist at White River Medical Center.

As a Hospitalist, Staley specializes in the care of patients during their hospital stay, coordinating treatment from admission through discharge. Working closely with primary care providers, specialists, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team, hospitalists manage acute illnesses, monitor patient progress, respond quickly to changes in condition, and help ensure safe, effective, and efficient care. Their on-site presence allows for timely medical decisions, improved communication among care teams and patients, and a smoother transition as patients return home or continue their recovery after leaving the hospital.

Staley earned her medical degree and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). She also earned a bachelor's degree in cognitive neuroscience and a minor in medical missions from Harding University. She completed her family medicine residency at UAMS North Central in Batesville, where she served as chief resident.

"It has been an honor to join the Hospitalist team and work with some of the best healthcare professionals around," said Dr. Staley. "I am excited to contribute to the outstanding care provided at White River Health and to continue serving the community I have become a part of during my time in residency."

Staley, whose married name is Favano, was inspired to pursue medicine by her mother, who is a pediatrician in Conway, AR.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their dogs, kayaking, playing board games, and traveling.
