White River Health Announces New Vice President & Administrator

(Batesville, Ark) – White River Health (WRH) is pleased to announce the appointment of David Fox, FACHE, FAHRA, as Vice President and Administrator of Stone County Medical Center (SCMC), effective January 5, 2026. Fox most recently served as Executive Vice President of Hospital Operations at Summit Management Group.

Mr. Fox brings many years of experience in healthcare executive leadership, hospital operations and strategy supported by an extensive record of many accomplishments. In addition to his leadership background, he has hands-on experience in patient care, having worked in both laboratory and radiology settings. Fox earned his Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University. He previously obtained a Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Arkansas and completed his clinical training at the Baptist Health School of Nuclear Medicine, where he became credentialed as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Mr. Fox is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and a Fellow of the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (FAHRA). He is also a member of the Arkansas Hospital Association, serves on the ACHE Board, and has been deeply involved in state and community organizations.

“Mr. Fox’s years of experience in healthcare leadership will build upon the strong foundation in place at SCMC. He also brings a strong commitment to patient care and community, and we are excited to see how he will use his skills to contribute to SCMC and the region,” said Steven Webb, FACHE, President & CEO of WRH.

Kathy Thomas, the former Administrator of SCMC will retire in December 2026. During the transition period, Thomas will continue to support SCMC leadership and remain in her role as Chief Safety Officer.
