Veterans Honored at White River Health

(Batesville, Ark.) — Through the time and support of the WRMC Volunteers, White River Health (WRHS) is proud to recognize and honor veterans who have fought for our Country.Veterans receiving care at Stone County Medical Center (SCMC) and White River Medical Center (WRMC) will have a magnet with an image of a flag placed on the door frame of their room.

This flag is to notify staff and visitors of the patients’ service to encourage those who enter the room to take a moment to thank them for their service. The patient will be given the magnet to take home upon discharge.

“We value our veterans’ dedication and service to our country,” said Gary Paxson, President and CEO of White River Health. “We want them to feel appreciated and the flags are one way we hope to accomplish this task.”
