Due to the reports of two confirmed cases of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Independence County, White River Health is amending visitor guidelines.

Effective immediately, visitors will not be allowed at White River Medical Center (WRMC) and Stone County Medical Center (SCMC). Patients with the following special circumstances will be allowed one visitor: 1. Critically ill patients; 2. Patients receiving end of life care; 3. Mothers in active labor; and 4. Pediatric patients.

Beginning at 7PM, March 19, the WRMC East Entrance will close. Patients are asked to use the Emergency (West) Entrance.

We understand the challenge this creates for our patients and their loved ones. We are taking these measures for the protection of our patients and employees based on guidance from the Arkansas Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control. Thank you for your cooperation.
