Narcan Community Education & Training Event

Location: White River Medical Center Conference Center

White River Health is providing community education and training on Narcan. Narcan (naloxone HCl) Nasal Spray is the first and only FDA-approved nasal form of naloxone for the emergency treatment of a known or suspected opioid overdose. Narcan Nasal Spray counteracts the life-threatening effects of an opioid overdose.

Since most accidental overdoses occur in a home setting, it was developed for first responders, as well as family, friends, and caregivers—with no medical training required.

Every participant that completes this training will receive two doses of Narcan to keep. The training and Narcan is completely free to the community. We will be able to hold 30 people, if we see a large need for the training, another class will be held in 2023.
